i really love nichijou, both the anime and the manga. i watched the anime first when i was younger, and have rewatched it a couple times since then. i've also collected the first three volumes of the manga. i want to collect more but manga is pretty expensive, so it might take a while.
im not an expert on comics or animation by any means, but one aspect of the anime that i really appreciate is its ability to translate the style of the manga into animation. i think this is made more interesting by the way keiichi arawi sets up scenes and panels. the manga doesn't have the most out-there panel work in the world, but it does have really creative use of repetition, and a keen control over its pacing. many sketches in the manga shine through their ability to recycle a panel a few times with key differences, or to take things slow when necessary.
i have a lot more i want to say about nichijou, but im kinda tired so i might stop for now. tbh a lot of this i havent really tried to put into writing before, and it's hard work not just spouting things stream-of-consciousness-style! i'll add more later!
